The mission starts with Isaac and Carver arriving at the PEA. They are immediately attacked by a group of Brethren Moons. After fighting their way through them, the two reach the PEA itself. They are then attacked by more Brethren Moons, as well as an Ubermorph. After defeating them, they enter the PEA and find that it has already been activated. They then need torace against time to shut it down before it destroys the planet.
After reaching the control room, they find that the controls have been damaged and they need to repair them. However, they are then attacked by a Necromorph called The Corrupter. After defeating it, they are able to repair the controls and shut down the PEA.
With the PEA shut down, Isaac and Carver then need to make their way back to their ship. However, they are again attacked by Necromorphs. They eventually make it back to their ship and escape just as the planet explodes.
